LatentMaster is sold as a complete latent fingerprint workstation and includes:

a. LatentMaster "Gold" IR/VIS/UV Internal Peltier Cooled Camera, less than 1100 nm to greater than 200 nm response, better than .006fc sensitivity (full output, uncooled, 30 fps) 512 by 512 contiguous pixels, with all Quartz optics and external power supply.

Shown here is the latest version of our cooled UV camera - the LatentMaster GOLD camera. The gold anodization allows all of the pieces in the case superior electrical connectivity to shield the camera head from electronic noise. Like previous versions of our camera, it has a hermetically sealed head backfilled with Argon for long maintenance free life. Unlike a CCD camera, there is no image blooming when part of the image is saturated (too much light). The cooler ON-OFF switch has been removed, since there is no reason to ever turn the cooler OFF. The LatentMaster GOLD camera has lower noise and an even sharper image than its predecessors. We have made numerous improvements inside the camera controller box to produce better images. The LatentMaster GOLD camera operates at wider bandwidth, higher gain, and now has a closed loop cooling control. There is still no other system on the market that can produce as sharp an image over as wide a spectrum.

Camera Specs: - Quantum efficiency 35%, Pixel size 15x15 um, Active area 10.86 mm, better than 51 dB S/N, Geometric Distortion 0%, frequency response 1100 nm to 200nm.

b. Quartz lens assembly, 78 mm F3.8, 2000 nm to 200 nm at > 80% transmission

This lens was custom developed and optimized for the task of latent fingerprint detection with the LatentMaster camera. It produces an extremely sharp and clear image at 254 nm and over a wide range of wave lengths.

Specifications:

C-Mount, 3 element 78 mm F3.8 all Quartz lens, 49 mm thread for filter holders. Spectral response (80%) 200nm to over 2,000 nm.

Designed to image a 2.5 cm by 2.5 cm area at 30 cm. At 250 nm: Focal length 77.55 mm, Back focal 71.31 mm, Fringe back 17.526 (C-mount), Image Circle 18.0 mm, Angle of View at infinity: 6.64 degrees diagonal, Optical distortion (at infinity) -.27% diagonal, Magnification: -0.3, Front lens aperture: 23 mm, Rear lens aperture: 21 mm, All surfaces single MgF2 coated, C mount & T-mount.

We also sell a 25 mm quartz lens for other UV applications. The 25 mm lens has the same clarity in the UV spectrum as our 78 mm lens, but has a much larger field of view - 25 cm at 52 cm.

c. Custom made Pentium computer (2.4 GHz or faster), 18 GB or greater Hard Drive, 16M or greater Video card, 256M RAM, Cordless Mouse and Keyboard, CD-R/RW Writer (Note: Computer performance changes almost daily - we will generally supply the latest and greatest Pentiums available.)

d. LatentMaster Software (Custom written for latent fingerprints. Full floating point mathematics used for all image enhancement processes. Most image processing functions, including Fourier processing and kernel filtering, are near real time and interactive.)
